Bama defensive players, in this year's draft, were undervalued because they weren't pass rushers. That has more to do with Bama's scheme than them if you ask me though. Ragland's fault was that he can't cover very well even though he can go side line to side line. With that being where the NFL stands, I think next year Bama will have players flying off the board early.

Reuben Foster - considered the best coverage lb in college football. Can tackle in space and stop the run

Tim Williams - explosive off the edge, a nightmare in the pass rush. Needs to add weight thoug

Jonathan Allen - could have gone 1st round this year. 2nd best pass rusher in the SEC

Ryan Anderson - big, strong and great off the edge. can stop the run too

Evans - great in space and can get after the qb.

Unless NFL teams have cemented that all Bama players are only good in Bama's scheme, I can't see why these guys won't be high commodities for the 2017 draft if the value is in pass rushing

So the team will have a big drop off in 2017? Or will their replacements in Tuscaloosa be even better?

Foster is not someone an NFL team will be willing to take in the first round. In the NFL you have to be able to think in space.

Williams will have to prove he is a 3 down player.

Allen should have most of the DL stats next year, Combine is where he can make his money.

Anderson has a chance to prove himself this year, he will have to prove he is a better pass rusher.

Evans is nowhere near a first round talent.

I can see Allen and Foster, but Williams needs to develop into more than just a pass rusher. How does he fair on a team without a ton of guys doing the heavy lifting?

Yep, just like the 5 Bama players you Gumps predicted to go in the first round this year.
