You would think it's Alabama.... Alabama is quite high up there. But no, it's ........
South Carolina!
You all have 18.8% of your residents living in mobile homes... Explains a lot, actually.

Congrats, South Carolina!

I don't actively go looking for them, but I actually haven't seen a trailer park since I've been here in SC, that I can recall.
That 18.8% seems a little high.
That 18.8% seems a little high.

Florida has a ton too. Panhandle is a cesspool.

Indeed. A TON.

two cities outside of Jacksonville, Fla., had the country's highest concentration of mobile homes, which are generally about 12-feet wide and include a kitchen, a living and dining area, and one or two smaller bedrooms. While mobile homes make up only 6.17% of the nation's residences, they comprise 45.5% of the units in Palatka, Fla., and 41.6% of units in Lake City, Fla.

South Carolina must be very good at hiding them. The stigma of Alabama or Mississippi having more must be because they don't give a frick and put them right on highways, clearly visible.

Of the nearly 9 million mobile homes in the U.S., the majority are in the South. South Carolina and New Mexico have the highest proportion, according to a recent analysis by the U.S. Census Bureau. For sheer numbers, Florida and Texas lead the pack.

Or your data is false

That's not surprising. This is also probably what most cities in Alabama are like... I'm curious what Tuscaloosa's is?

Your avi lives in a trailer, spent her SSD benefits on that sweet 'kini. Just sayin'.

Obviously not as high as those cities in Florida.

Wow. I would have guessed Mississippi... Sucks for South Carolina.

Again for sheer numbers:

Florida, followed by Texas, North Carolina, California, and Georgia. There’s probably close to 900 thousand mobile homes in Florida alone

So because Florida and Texas have more people (and a lot of retirees), that might contribute to the "sheer number." Even with that, Florida isn't even close to South Carolina or bama in percentage. 1 in 5 of South Carolina residents live in trailers... And South Carolina doesn't have the retirement communities that Florida has. Same with bama. Bama has 1 and ~8 living in trailers. You all are just poorz. It's ok. There's a reason they have to display trophies in wal-mart. That's where most of your population hangs out.

Not surprised. Most of my Carolina friends live in trailers.

Lol. Lake city is over an hour away from Jacksonville and Palatka is almost as far depending on traffic.

Yeah Florida has a lot. Most are retirement communities.

So the odds are good that between CNB, Vols&shaft, scrooster, carolinagirl, and thegarnettway, at least one of you all lives in a trailer.
Poorz.
Poorz.

Uhhh, Florida's percentage is 10.4, so more than 1 out 10 Florida residents live in a trailer. Not a huge difference.
Florida is ranked 17th, I wouldn't be so high and mighty.
