Alabama is less than 50%. I was originally against it, but I think the influx of kids from around the country has been good for the school and the region. Some things that have been the status quo for decades just because "they are what they are" have been flipped upside down because of the diversity of campus the last decade. And, some of those kids stay behind and continue to add diversity to the state.
Every state is different, though.
