It's not a bad deal for what it is. You get about 20 channels for that price. If it doesn't have the ones you watch, you can add other packages for more. Also, it's the only way to get ESPN without a pay TV subscription.
A few negatives. Local network channels aren't integrated into the package, and you can't record shows, although you can pause live ones.

is there another way to get local channels without signing up for a cable package?

it probably hurt that baseball opening day is going on at the same time also
