talk about things that aren't surprising coming from Bama players, then I'm going to fire back with things that aren't surprising coming from Auburn players.

If it's an NCAA suspension for banned substances then the suspension length isn't indefinite or indeterminate. They're very clearly defined. So unless the school is throwing up some dirt into the air to muddle things-which if you can be objective and get past the Alabama Illuminati theories you can keep reading or comment but I don't think they are here-it doesn't seem to be a drug-related or banned-substance problem.
It may be for something Tony did before he got to campus. Or something his family did before he made it to campus. Obviously it hasn't impacted his sister whose still running track at LSU as far as I know.
As I recall, many LSU Fans were sympathetic prior to his Alabama recruitment as many folks in the media covering him talked about his dather's medical issues. I believe he was a big impact on his life and he ended up having a stroke before his senior year.
Lots of medical bills as I recall, and I'm sure losing your father as an everyday presence in your life to a grueling and uncertain recovery can sometimes impact young kids in different ways.
Some grow up quickly. Some others not so much. I do know Saban tries to put as robust of a support system around the kids in his programs as possible. At the end of the day, if this revolves around something Tony is responsible for, it's a real shame. Because Alabama certainly provided him every opportunity to succeed.
I hate Alabama but that doesn't cloud my objectivity here. He had his chances, but it seems like we may not know exactly what went down just yet. Saban did and kept him around as long as possible it seems.

Not really, I'm not trying to avoid the topic or anything. I was responding to that specific post, not trying to change the overall topic of the thread or keep people from talking about it.
Maybe you just don't want me to refer to any incidents involving Auburn players, even though it is perfectly cool to act like whatever Tony Brown may have done reflects on all Alabama players.
