I am sitting at a bar in DC and they had the Women's National Championship. Think this would be a cool sport to have on campus. I know I would have watched some Hockey games in the absence of football.

We would have an excellent men's soccer team if they added it. College soccer is a huge untapped market in TX.

Our hockey teams would get fricking destroyed and would be a waste of money though

Completely agree, and I feel like it will eventually happen. So I'd love to get a head start and establish a winning program and tradition before other TX state schools in the big conferences. Just think, the deuce aka Dempsey could have been an aggie!

Hockey is a fun sport to watch.

But keeping the ice surface at a decent consistency could be a problem. The Dallas Stars have problems with their ice, and North Texas gets far colder than College Station.

A&M researchers could easily fix the problem, but it's not a priority behind creating maroon Bermuda grass.

Yeah, I'd rather have men's soccer. I honestly think we could easily double the attendance we already get for women's soccer, and we'd be damn good. I love hockey and have been a Stars fan for my entire life, but A&M is not a good place for that.
