Again, you seem to have a simple mind so I won't confuse you but my first grader is smarter than you and it's not even close.

Ok...which sport is UGA known for? Which sport has been the cash cow for the school? Which school draws the most people to its contests?

I'm sure you're trying to make some intelligent point about a texas or ohio state or florida being good at both football and basketball. But the fact is aside from a few VERY short spurts we have never been good at basketball. We're a football school whether you acknowledge it or not. We play in an outdated arena that was built 50 years ago.

And yet!...we've made the big dance twice with this coach. We've made the NIT twice more. He recently got the gatorade player of the year in a basketball state who just scored 33 points to win us this postseason game. We jsut signed 2 guys who are both in the top 100 players in America. We've won 20 games for the 3rd year in a row...have we ever done that before in our history?

People like you have the ted mosbey super bowl episode blinder helmet on and only think "WE ARE GEORGIA" and think we should be #1 in everything in every category that could ever exist. That's not reality. We aren't a basketball school whether you think so or not....YET, we're elevating our program to actually be competitive year in and year out which hasn't been the case in a long, long time.

Just sit back and enjoy it instead of bitching. It'll be good for your blood pressure.

I'm still not a Fox fan, but I will give him this. He rallied the team together when it would have been *really* easy to throw in the towel and has them playing quality ball here at the end of the season. It's inconsistent, and damn frustrating sometimes to watch at times, but they have some nice momentum here at the end of the season. This is probably the most positive momentum we've had since we got Harrick'd.

The 2 top 100 guys is a nice change of pace from the typical Fox recruiting. If he can lock that part down and start building some legit depth on the team, I might be able to change my opinion of him. He has made some great coaching decisions/choices here at the end of the season as well, (eg. platooning against UK early when we were exhausted, intentional missed FT, etc.)

I do agree that it's time for the school to put up or shut up and start figuring out improvements to Stegeman.

Absolutely have to give props to Charles. I said it earlier but it needs repeating.

I (and everyone else who has ever watched a game) have given him shite for a while. If memory serves, coming into this game he had more career turnovers than assits...as a senior...GUARD.

But he was on tonight. On point from 3 which isn't really his game. Made good decisions. Didn't travel (can't believe I have to mention that). Didn't make stupid passes.

Excellent, wonderful game for Charles. Well deserved win for him.

man people turn in a hurry.

I agree we shoudl probably do something, but most people just say "let's do something!!!" without proposing a plan.

WHAT shoudl we do? We're getting a hanging scoreboard which is unbelievably, badly needed. So aside from that, what shoudl we do? We spent $30M abotu 10 years ago on the practice facility, so that's done with. Stegeman from the outside looks pristine, much better than most other facilities you want to compare it to. Teh bathrooms, concourses, and conessions have all been updated in the last 5 years. So what else is there to renovate? Unless you're advocating razing the building and starting from scratch, the only other option left is just renovating what's inside the building itself.

So again...what exactly shoudl we do to stegeman?

Yes... Gut the Steg... Start over. Clemson did it. They played all their home games in Greenville due to the size of the project. If there is not a proposal (which there's not) to build a new arena, then a renovation can vastly improve the appearance of the program. You can't honestly believe Stegman is a good arena? Georgia is in the lower tier of its' own conference comparing venues.

Have you seen cameron indoor? Stegeman is twice as nice as that facility. Do you think UGA would fill up valdosta's stadium if we played football games there?

You see where I'm going with this...facilties are nice but the biggest part is the product you put out. Yes, I'm not stupid, I realize that having a nice faclity helps you recurit which helps you put a better product out. But I'm also realistic, we aren't going to build a colonial life arena and have 20,000 fans in the stands. That's simply not reality.

There's nowhere to even put a new arena, so our only choice is to fix the inside as you said. We've already fixed a lot of it. So again I ask, what SPECIFICALLY would you change? And if you read nothing else read this...I'm being very serious here in asking out of curiosity, because I don't know what to change. I'm legitimately asking. I'm not being a contrarian or saying you're wrong, I genuinely want to know what we can do.

That means at a minimum 64 teams in the nation were considered to have a better resume than Georgia

If you drive a honda and your neighbor buys an acura, do you go out the next week and buy a mercedes?

I don't give a shite about keeping up with the jones's, which you clearly do. I don't care what other programs do, I care about what we do. We're doing as well as we've done in a long long time, consistently. And btw if you think 64 teams are better than us you simply don't understand how the tournament works.
