It's an obvious vacuum in LR. The other state schools are smart to capitalize.

I'm all for UALR fielding a football team to play in WMS.

They couldn't afford the rent.

Same reason why stAte backed out of the future games in WMS they had planned after Okie lite played them there.

Just like when Arkansas had to buyout stAte's part of the contract in Verizon and play Okie Lite a few years in a roll in the early 2000s, orginally it was to be set with OU/OSU and Arkansas/State rotating against the Oklahoma schools, then other similar states scheduled in the future (Kansas for example) after the first year stAte couldn't afford rent and thought Arkansas should cover their costs for the venture while they benefited from the exposure.

South Arkansas prefers Fayetteville to Little Rock.
