Safety Rudy Ford did not participate in drills. He is sick, a team spokesman told AL.com. This comes on the heels of safety Tray Matthews (shoulder) and defensive back Jeremiah Dinson sitting out the entire spring.

Newcomer Kyle Davis, a receiver, and Stanton Truitt worked at kick return.Marcus Davis, Ryan Davis, Jason Smith and Javaris Davis worked punt return.

 Tyler Queen did throw the football today. He is coming off elbow surgery in September and is limited to 50 throws a day.

Stephen Roberts and Nick Ruffin worked with first-team safeties.
