"Also, confirmed to me this morning by a source that Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell will not run at the Combine." Scott Bischoff.

Why should he if he doesn't have to?
Posted on 2/22/16 at 10:06 am to SwayzeCrazy
Probably because he's sporting around a 4.6

When is the Ole Miss Pro Day?

Well, Cody Core will run the forty.
And he is about as fast as anyone. He will probably run a 4.42.
That long run Walton had against state. Cody was flying.
He easily got in between defenders and Walton.
Treadwell's strength is not his speed. There are plenty of 4.6 guys at WR. He will be able to handle the corners that like to grab and play physical.

I wouldn't either if I were him and thought it would hurt my stock.

The scouts over on ED have decided he will now drop because of this. Treadwell has very little to prove with his on field production and ability to come back from an awful injury that has already shown.

He will run it at the Ole Miss pro day with the teams that are really interested. Why wouldn't he want to control the situation.

Bear is a more durable receiver, and will have a more successful career in the NFL. Bear is also not a Pre Madonna. So he won't be the lockerroom distraction that Paidwell has been all these years.

I still dont understand why people put such an emphasis on 40 times. It's the most irrelevant number at the combine. It's a number everybody is familiar with but its really meaningless.
Treadwell has nothing to worry about. That dude doesn't have to do anything at the combine and a team within the top 10 is going to watch his tape and draft him.
Numbers are numbers but Treadwell is a football player. GMs, not named Al Davis, draft football players, not numbers.

The combine has become fairly stupid and is used as an excuse for poor talent evaluators. From what I have heard, it is mostly helpful with guys that lack a lot of useful tape and the interviews and physical are important.
So many teams have made the mistake of trusting the combine.

Anquan Boldin ran a 4.7 back at his combine.

He is a top 10 overall pick without running...
What does he have to gain by running??
