Keep telling yourself that. History, cultural roots, and the demographics of Eastern Texas say otherwise.

Eastern Texas =/= Texas as a whole. Stop trying so hard to be a part of the South. Way more history/culture/varied demographics in this state to classify it by any one narrow definition, tbh.

Texas is Texas, and you must accept it

So the German influence of Central Texas, the cowboys heritage of the llano estacado/panhandle, and the Mexican-American history of San Antonio and South Texas are all thrown out of the window because of a small part of our state reminds you of the three Alabama backwoods???

We are Texas. We aren't the plains, we aren't the Midwest, we aren't the Southwest, and we ESPECIALLY are NOT the South.

We are Texas. The LONE Star State.
