I have zero reason to hate Cam Newton based on his college career. Never played him. Would have gotten killed if we did.
But his actions this year and Sunday were classless and unacceptable.

I really don't care for the guy. Thought it was neat for him to give the balls to kids, have to be the coolest things for some of those kids. Classy. Guys that are selfish keep their TD balls, give it to family members, try to make money off of them.
But I doubt if he'd give a super bowl 50 ball to a kid

Cam is an immature kid who had grandiose visions of receiving the Super Bowl MVP award and being the recipient of so much praise. Guys like him completely melt when their dreams are dashed and pout like spoiled babies. Dude has so much talent... truly... be really needs to go through some adversity to help him mature.
It's like the new young bank president who goes to see the retiring president and asks, "Sir, I want to be successful like you. What advice can you give me?" "2 words, son: Good Decisions." I like Cam. I cheer for him against almost every other team. Having said that, he has some growing up to do. I don't like all of the dancing after every play, it was poor sportsmanship for decades and it always will be to me. Maybe my children will feel differently. He carried himself badly last night and needs to learn to carry himself better. Having said that, I hope he gets at least SB trophy of his own at some point.

And I like Cam, and don't have a problem with his showboating, but he carried himself poorly last night. Extremely poorly.
Neither the "discomfort" with him nor the backlash today has anything to do with Cam's race.

Dude y'all are forgetting that this man is a human being that plays a game that he gets paid for. But you fans don't think of it like that, how would u feel if someone criticizes every move u make this is someone son, father, cousin, n friend. Cam don't need to grow up you mislead fans do. Tom Brady is one of the most hated players in the NFL. And Cam Newton plays PROFESSIONAL football. He is paid millions for his performance on and off the field. If you think he isn't going to get a talking to about it you are crazy. Most people here are saying he is a bad guy, they are saying he is paid to be the face of that franchise and he doesn't get to do it just when things go his way.

So if so many people feel that way about black people having a good time, why does the NBA & the NFL draw such great ratings? Both leagues are well over 50% black in team makeup. Cam's color is irrelevant. A jerk is a jerk is a jerk regardless of his color. Win with class, lose with class, that makes you classy. Win with class, lose like a jerk...that is your true color.

Nick saban is a dick 100% of the time though. Cam NEEDS attention when things are going well. But he acts like a child when the media wants to cover whether he wins or loses
