Not one bit. And I loved watching him play in college and had hoped he'd make a good pro.

Hell no. He's been handed so much opportunity and seems hellbent on fricking it up. No matter what happens to him, he's going to be taken care of.

No.

in this day and age you can not get away with anything

Like beating up your girlfriend, pulling her hair, forcing her into your car and threatening to kill her?
Like lying to your employer about that you were not partying when video shows you were?
Like skipping your work-required doctors appointment to go out partying in Vegas?
Like oversleeping from partying at a camp where you are supposed to be a mentor/leader for young kids?
Like throwing bottles at people who want your autograph?
Like publicly disrespecting your school after getting a school issued parking ticket?

No, I don't feel bad he can't get away with anything.

Anyone with any moral fiber, common decency, and an ounce of professionalism wouldn't do half the shite he's done, regardless of the glare of the spotlight.

Add on the entitled/"spoiled brat" syndrome where he already comes from family money, then gets a $4m signing bonus and is guaranteed to get another $8m regardless if he's cut, ....well, it's no wonder he gets no sympathy from the working class that would love to have a shot at his wasted opportunities.

I do feel bad for those caring enough to intervene, whether it's family and/or employers that have to watch this unwilling addict derail his life & career.

I hope the kid gets himself on the right path not for football but just as a human being.

If he can get his shite together, he might just shatter all of Flutie's records with Edmonton.

Not at all.Karma is a Bitch.

He thumbed his nose at the powers that be since High School, probably, and did what he wanted.

Now it's caught up with him and he can't handle it evidently.

I don't want any harm to come to the kid,I just think he needs a big jolt of reality to get his mind right.

I love how the New England Patriot's scouting report said that he came from a family of "outlaws".

There are lots of things in play here and not all are under his control. There is a proven genetic predisposition component to addiction and that was never under his control. I don't know his parents or other relatives but there is that. So yeah, I do feel for him and hope he can some day realize that he can't control his urges or intake so he just has to quit. He has been surrounded by enablers and some of that he can control but others he couldn't or didn't or probably didn't even realize that they were hurting him rather than helping him. End of the day though, he has to be responsible for whether he lives a life of addiction with or without the substances that control his life. I don't know how long he can go if he chooses the "with" path.

Manziel's parents should take a lot of responsibility for the way little Johnny turned out. He was a privileged rich kid, who got everything he wanted or asked for and was probably never spanked.

Because of the way he was raised, he feels like he is owed everything.

No, not in the least.

Plenty of young men would have killed to have the opportunities he's had.
