Nah, he's doing his best to cozy up to LSU basketball now since he's seen how stupid he has looked all season.

He is dogshit, beating up on a bad conference doesn't change that.

He's Mark Gottfried in Gottfried's best years. NBA talent, 10 cent coAching, wins over top 5 teams and losses on the road to teams that finish 17-15. You just hope the talented kids are in a groove when the tournament rolls around (Bama circa 2004).
Better than being a bad recruiter and a decent coach any day of the week.

Josh Pastner has the WOAT on lock. Have you not seen how he ruins Memphis Basketball yet has a talented team that could win the SEC maybe every 3 years?

And Gottfried went to the NCAAT 6 straight years, won an SEC Title and went to an elite 8. He stopped doing that and was rightfully fired, but you could do much worse than "good era" Gottfried.

that's been my thing all season.
Nowadays, in-game coaching isn't that big of a deal in college basketball. Scott Drew is an awful, awful in-game coach, and he's taken two teams to the Elite Eight.
Johnny is a good recruiter, his players really like him, he seems to do a decent job motivating his players, he's gotten interest back to the program, he does a good job of getting guys to improve and understand their roles as the season progresses (see: Blakeney).
He's not a good in-game coach. We get it. Luckily, he's surrounded himself with enough talent, and gets enough effort out of his guys to offset that some.

Try having Kim Anderson as your coach and you'll be begging for Johnny Jones back.

He is bad but he's better than the other clowns in this conference

It blows my mind that people like Avery over Jones but to each their own. Avery is so bad

And with the talent they get yearly,Kentucky should beg to differ....
