Why is the SEC Tourney in Nashville this year?

In the SEC Bylaws it states that the SECT must be played in the host city of the Final Four if not the arena if in the footprint/Geographical area of the SEC
It is why the SECT went to Tampa and Nola a couple times.
You can argue Houston is in the SEC footprint due to aTm.
aTm joined 4 years ago so the bids could've been modified.

They've pretty much made Nashville the permanent home of the tourney. Good call IMO

I'd imagine there's a possible exception where the host site was set prior to the addition of new members.

Because People from Kentucky love Nashville for whatever reason. People from Kentucky as a whole care about SEC basketball the most.

It's played in Nashville for the next decade or so with one exception year it will be in Atlanta. It's played where Kentucky wants it because we're the ones who sell it out and put asses in the seats. That's not braggin, trash talk,or hubris...its fact. Ask the rest of the fans around here Aggie. Kentucky makes the SECT turn a profit, end of discussion.
