I still have a beef with Wichita being ranked

Personally I think they should be ranked #1, Notre Dame #2, Oregon #3 and Xavier #4.

Why?
They've won their last 11 games and Van Fleet only played in 2 of their 5 losses.
Especially if you think LSU should be in the tourney based on their record with Hornsby because based on the entire season LSU does not deserve to be in.

So Texas A&M beats Iowa State but since A&M lost earlier they drop three spots. Meanwhile the Cyclones go UP two spots?

I know Van Vleet was out.
They're in a 1-bid league and have beaten 1 team that will make the NCAA Tournament.
ETA: Not saying they don't deserve to make the NCAA tournament, but they aren't a top 25 team.

Iowa State beat Kansas by double digits.
aTm lost to a mediocre team, albeit on the road.
It was a pretty competitive game in College Station between the two. I don't see a problem with that.

I have a problem with that. That's all that really matters.

They might be a 1-league team this year, but generally the MVC is pretty competitive and gets a couple teams in. I understand what you're saying, but their seeding in the tournament won't be indicative of their ranking. Generally a 20-25 team from the MVC or some conference line that will end up with a 9 or 10 seed, not 6 like it would be if polls directly correlated to the tourney.

Agreed. There are a bunch of teams with similar records against way tougher schedules. I don't care that they're beating up on a bad MVC.

I think it sucks bc A&M got ref jobbed in that road loss, so getting dropped to 8 hurts. But at the same time the other 7 teams appear to be deserving as well.

Everyone gets jobbed by the refs. College basketball officiating sucks arse

there were some terrible calls yes. but, we absolutely threw that game away. so many unforced turnovers. the only reason people are bitching about the officiating is that we were still able to keep ourselves in the game despite turning it over all game.
we farked up. end of story.

I watched the game. Regardless, like I said, the other teams are also deserving. But there is plenty of bball left to be played, so plenty of opportunity to impact NCAA seeding. That's all that really matters...
