This guy just said he was just reading other news stories to come up with that one.

Unlike most people, however, I took the time to read subsequent reporting on the story. After doing so, I find the NOA to actually be GOOD news for Rebel Football fans.

I don’t know Hugh Freeze, but I know his boss, Ole Miss Athletic Director Ross Bjork. I’m not arrogant enough to call him a friend, but I’ve spent many hours with the man. I know his character. I know his beliefs.

Thats a completely pro-Ole Miss take and ...your "secondary violations" are speculation probably based on this:
“Only five of the 32 are alleged football violations, and that coaches are ‘confident’ allegations related to the current staff are secondary violations.”
Of course the coaches will say that shite. They're not diplomats, they're coaches.
Ole Miss fricked.

Dude your athletic department had 32 violations. Are you seriously bragging that only 5 were in football? Seems this is the exact type situation that lack of institutional control was designed for. You guys are going to get hammered.

Academic misconduct that dates back to Jerell powe along with other high profile recruits plus both academic misconduct and impermissible benefits to several football players byDavid Saunders are not secondary. Tunsil also involved in other allegations besides the ones he was already punished for. The academic allegations are similar to what Syracuse basketball was punished for which was a postseason ban and scholarship reductions. The complete report has not been released.

Guy writing this doesn't have any inside info.
Read about how severe the recent SMU basketball sanctions were.
Announcing this just before signing day is just letting OM know the hammer is coming. You can be arrogant and joke about it, but the joke is on OM..

Since when is 5 violations not a lot? If they had come out and said "ole miss has been charged with a recruiting violation" it would still be a big deal. 5 just doesn't seem like much compared to the boatload of others in women's bb and track

We lost 21 scholarships, two year bowl ban and 5 years probation for less than that.

Yep, the NCAA is definitely holding back on something.
I think this is only the light shower before the heavy thunderstorm coming....
