Professional Football Team called the "Arkansas Attack"

We saw this coming when all arkansas players were drafted.
quote:
Arkansas Attack has been officially named one of the teams for the MLFB 2016 season. The other seven teams are as follows: Alabama Airborne, Florida Fusion, Utah Sand, Texas Independence, Oklahoma Nation, Ohio Union, and Northwest Empire (Based in Eugene, OR).
Arkansas was a great choice for the pick. It was also announced that Little Rock would be the city that the Attack will play in. Which makes sense, since we have a thing called War Memorial Stadium. Maybe the Attack will break the curse for us while they’re there. Probably not though.
I bet I know what you’re thinking…why that name? And I completely understand. There could have been much better names for the teams than what was chosen. I mean, the Utah Sand? Who in their right mind would want to go to a game to watch sand people? Or who would want to go to Utah?

I doubt that league ever plays a game.

You can buy a share of MLFB stock for 63 cents.
There is no desire or need for a spring football league. This lasts 2 games and then the plug is pulled.

I know it is not the same thing but I liked going to the arena football games in the NLR arena.
I'm pretty sure if we have an Arkansas team it will most likely be named the twisters/tornadoes or diamonds.
I was also thinking several years back and there was an LR semi pro team that played outdoors and I believe they played in the Spring. I knew one of the local guys that played on the team. I don't think they lasted a season.

Might be thinking of The Arkansas Sabres
When I first played with them they were called the Arkansas Pirates. Played in a couple games, realized it was a bunch of work for no pay, and quit.

My buddy has played arena football for the past 2 years and told me that this league pays more than Arena Football for what its worth.
After 5 unsuccessful tryouts with NFL teams he was giving up football, but they pulled him back in with the new league.

I played a season on the semi-pro team in Ft. Smith. It was fricking rough. I played up against Justin Scott, the DE that played for Arkansas.
Half our team worked for whirlpool and wouldn't be there if they had to work that Saturday.
My last game we had 12 people show up counting our 5'2" kicker. I came off the field for one play total the entire game. Our qb had to play middle linebacker.
Here's a video clip from that game: LINK

We need a hockey team

I did a little digging and found that the person I know played on the Arkansas Rhinos which was a NAFL semi pro team around for several years. LINK. I guess there have been a number of these teams in Arkansas over the years but they just don't generate much of a following. I note we have a few Arkansas semi-pro teams in a league called the CFL. LINK. You can get your season tickets now. And here's the link to the MLFB site where you can sign up to be a standard or preferred list ticket holder with all the accompanying benefits. LINK
We had a couple of minor league hockey teams in LR in years past. We had the GlacierCats who played in the friendly confines of Barton Coliseum and the RiverBlades who played at Alltel/Verizon Arena in NLR. They were short lived.
Here's a link to the site for the Hog hockey teams which we post about from time-to-time. LINK

I meant like an AHL team. I feel as if Verizon is being wasted.
