Is it worth taking the day off Feb 1 and sitting at Blind Pig? How many big time guys are we potentially 50/50 or better on, that are currently uncommitted?

I don't want to sit up there all day to watch just Solomon.

If you've never been, it's still a damn fun time and at least you aren't at work. Place is chock full of dawgs, they've got plenty of TV coverage, some coaches will usually come speak for a minute, and there will be constant info about all the new signees as they come in.

As for potential surprises, solomon/jamyest/slaton/speed/probably a few more are all guys on the radar that MIGHT have interest in a last minute decision. MOst everyone else is already in the bag but it's still kind of a cool feeling seeing them update the big board as the LOIs roll in and make it official.

At any rate, I look at it like playing golf. A bad day on the course beats a good day in the office. If you have a chance to take off and hang out and eat wings and chug beer instead of work...you do it.

We should have a better idea in a week or so. Look for guys like Collins, Warner, Jamyest Williams, Wyatt (current commit who is looking hard at USC), and guys like Speed or Brini to potentially decide on or around NSD. Solomon is fricking gone, in my opinion, and we have a lot of ground to make up for Slaton.
