Just heard on the radio that the Panthers don't have one either.

Jags don't either but there are plans for a pretty swanky one. The jags actually use the Sharks arena for practice and it's basically only good for a walk thru

IPF is great and all, but will it help us win games vs Bama like this year out in the rain? Commentators for the game noticed a difference between how UGA and Bama handled the rain. UGA didn't do anything and it showed. I just don't see how an IPF helps us win these games were the weather conditions are far from ideal.
Don't get me wrong, I like the talks of the IPF but with most of the games always being outdoors it doesn't seem to be anything more than just fuzz or more for recruiting events (which is cool too).

Alabama won because they were a lot better in the trenches. A lot.

The more physical team is going to generally win in a torrential downpour.

Bama beat us because they were like 1,000,000% better than us.

It will if it helps UGA get better players. That result didn't have shite to do with the rain.

I can see it now. When we are killing it on the recruiting trail, working out in a world class IPF, someone will be scraping around for a complaint and will settle on "but why don't we have to ability to simulate rain in our IPF?"

The IPF was just a scapegoat for not being able to get rid of Richt and company, at least in my book it was.
Honestly, it would be better served if they would bulldoze Stegeman and build a new state of the art basketball arena with that money.

Like I said I'm all for the IPF, but when people are saying we need the IPF to take that next step, I just don't see it helping us out on the actually field unless we are in the dome or something. Now for recruiting events, etc I'm down for it. I just think we should practice outside in the rain and wind or any other very sloppy conditions to be prepare ourselves for live game action. Something that can't be duplicated in an IPF.

Richt didn't recruit enough depth on the line.
Pro teams don't need to recruit and can adjust practice times. Hence, less of a need for IPF.
