Well as you can see getting the best QB aint always what its cracked up to. A&M has more success with guys with chips on their shoulder.
We started recruiting QBs a month ago. I'd say this is solid kid. He's got some size and did well at the Elite 11 camp.
Plus we will not be asking him to come in and play right away like we did with Allen and Murray.

The guy that just committed has exactly the same rating that Johnny Manziel had as a HS Senior.
Nobody on here is claiming the guy is the next Tom Brady. Let's give him a chance to show what he can do in CFB, before dogging on him.

1 month ago we had 1 QB on the roster. We now have 2 with a firm commitment from one in the 2016 class. By Jan 2017 we will have a 5 star freshman to replace the SR leaving.
I think its fair I said we are in a decent position now when you consider how bleak it was in mid Dec.
