This is why I'm glad we don't recruit Mississippi hard. It's just a total shite show every year. Why does Bama keep going back? It's like an abusive relationship. They keep expecting it be different, but they get Landmass'd every year. CJ Hampton, Tony Connor, Leo Lewis, Benito Jones, Davis, D.D. Bowie, etc. Why?

Yeah, kids from Alabama would never accept cash or gifts for their signature on the dotted line. "Lol"

I don't think peeps/coaches will have any say so where he goes . If he wants MSU that's where he will and should be. No big deal

Bama fans aren't upset because this flip if true has been coming for a long time.

We have the most bizarre story thus far in this year’s recruiting season.

Raekwon Davis, a four-star defensive tackle from Meridian (Miss.) High School, told SEC Country through his Twitter account on Sunday morning that he had flipped from Alabama to Mississippi State. At 3:30 p.m. ET, in a phone conversation with Davis, he told SEC Country that he is still in fact a Crimson Tide commit.

Davis claims his Twitter account has been hacked and he doesn’t know who is controlling his Twitter account at the moment.

What makes the story even weirder is the fact that Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen, through his verified Twitter account, tweeted that the Bulldogs picked up a commitment. As of now, Davis is the only one that has been connected to Mississippi State today.

Throughout the day, Davis’ Twitter account had been tweeting out pro-Mississippi State tweets. They have since been deleted, and he changed his bio from committed to “MSU” to committed to “Bama.”

Multiple reporters have been told that he has flipped to Mississippi State, while a handful of others have been told that he is solid with Alabama.

Davis is rated the No. 12 defensive tackle in the nation.

Stay tuned for more updates throughout the day as this crazy story continues.

someone hacked lol
so he either posted all this and had second thoughts
or wants to wait till signing day.

or a mississippi State coach or fellow recruit took his phone or computer?

what a strange situation
glad we arent involved in this situation.

But later in the afternoon, Davis told outlets including TideSports, BamaMag and SECCountry that he was committed to Alabama.

He had told AL.com that a coach had his phone and he changed his password and he was in fact committed to Mississippi State. This was around noon CT.

When reached around 2:45 p.m., Davis didn't comment to AL.com. He then changed his Twitter bio back to reflect an Alabama commitment.
