Tennessee is a total shithole. I lived there outside Nashville for 15 years. Nashville is one of the most overrated cities in the South. Not to mention folks move entirely too slow and breathe heavily from the mouth. Louisiana (was born there and lived several years there) is much better than Missouri, Kentucky and Arkansas. Texas is a great place to live (I live in The Woodlands) but it doesn't beat places like Jupiter or Windermere, Florida. South Carolina outside of Hilton Head/Myrtle is a shithole also.
Georgia outside of Atlanta is not much to be excited about but there is St. Simon Island which is nice.
Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi and Alabama should be the bottom 5 of the list.

I actually would put Louisiana below all those states but that is why this is purely based on opinion and every state has some great cities and some total shitholes

Everyone has different opinions I spent about 15 years in Nashville and it has a lot of diverse stuff and less than a days drive to a lot of other things. Probably my favorite US city I have lived in and I was an army brat. The worst thing is the traffic because 40, 24, and 65 all meet downtown.
