I can tell you this is incorrect. You could not find them for sub $1k right before Christmas and they werent under 1500 on Christmas day
I suspect that the vast majority of these stubhub sales were in early to mid december before the market went crazy. The relatively few outliers after that were the ones that got all the attention.

I am pretty sure they were about 6-900 after Ohio state lost their championship game.
I wish I would have purchased then

It went crazy after Christmas if I remember correctly.
