I still have phone like that, not in that color scheme of course, in my house and it is how folks still reach me after all these years. It even has caller ID.
(picks up phone)
ME : Hello
Them : Howdy, this is Clem
ME : Howdy Clem, how are you doing today
(through conversation I have ID'ed the caller)
My caller ID actually works sometimes before I even pick up the phone. Like when the phone rings around 11:30 I know even before I pick it up it is Bubber calling me about lunch.
