I happen to catch this the other day by CBS sports. It's about that myth 1941 NT Alabama claims among a few others.

"In 1941, Alabama lost 14-0 at home to eventual SEC champion Mississippi State and 7-0 at Vanderbilt. Atechson defended the 1941 inclusion for years, arguing the Mississippi State loss came in the rain, the Vanderbilt defeat was close, and that Alabama was the country’s best team by the end of the season thanks to wins over Georgia (8-1-1), Tennessee (8-2) and Texas A&M (9-2). "

No question Alabama has a lot to brag about because they earned most of them. But here is one for the Vol fans to have fun with.

Good lord, that is just brutal. By that logic UT could claim the 2015 national championship for fricks sake.

Maybe I'll start making the official RT627 poll at the end of every year, and put UT at 1 every time, no matter how ridiculous and bullshite my justification is. If UT plays by Bama rules, we can claim a title every single year now.

Psst. frick 41. Who cares? This is not new info you stumbled across. Most Bama fans want that claim dropped.
