Buga pain train told me he was a L5U lock.
Must have been part of his misinformation campaign now that he is working for the Ole Miss recruiting machine

He was an LSU lock until he had a shitty senior season/got fat and LSU backed off according to people on the recruiting board. Believe or don't believe, but that's what "they" say.

Don't believe the ranters. He was a take at LSU. Solid pickup.

I don't think he was. But good pickup for UF. Hopefully he gets his pre-injury game back

Great pick up. Potential is there to be a stud.

This wasnt the ranters, it was insiders (like Sonny/Shea) saying we stopped recruiting him a month or two ago. Just didnt have a good season and grades are an issue...put our focus on guys like Lawrence, Christmas-Giles and Gary.

Whether the stuff about LSU backing off is true or not, I hope he really does well for the Gators unless they play LSU. Good get Gators.

I mean, I can believe that he had a bad senior season because the fact is that he didn't start for IMG. But at the end of the day, he's a solid 4* prospect who at this current evaluation may be an impact sophomore instead of an impact freshman. If he called up LSU and wanted to commit, he's in the class. I just think people see these sort of things as too black and white, like LSU is either breaking down the kid's door, or telling them to take a hike, haha. It just doesn't work like that.

How convenient. Great pickup

Now we close out with Fulton, Wilson, Cleveland, and Stove/Victor/NCM and call it a day

Sometimes it does work like that. This is a case where we stopped recruiting a guy, it happens regularly every year with every school and guys they recruit. Thats not to say hes terrible, we just went a different direction and didnt want to deal with his grade issues. Christmas-Giles blew up locally and they focused their attention on him over Manuel.

No no, he just didn't check back with his "guy" recently enough. Lol, what a rube.

He became a DT prospect instead of a DE prospect, and we had in state guys higher on our board at DT with Alexander, Lawrence, Logan, and Christmas-Giles. Not to mention O will keep hard after Gary until he signs somewhere.
But I don't wanna hijack this thread. Sorry Florida guys. I'm sure Manuel will be a really good player at Florida. The ability and potential is there

I agree with what your saying, I'm just pointing out that recruiting most likely isn't a binary process regarding the allocation of time and resources. I agree that LSU put a bigger focus on other targets, but I just don't believe his offer was totally pulled. He would have been a fine addition to the class.
