Casualty of the great Cumberland avenue bar purge of the last few years.

What's the deal with bars on Cumberland? It's like none of them can stay open for more than a year or two. The UT bar scene seems to be lacking from this constant turnover of bars.

UT has been putting pressure on them ever since the late 2000s and that's coupled with the construction that started a couple years ago that has turned the strip into a mess. It will get better in the future once the construction is done, but it will never go back to the college awesomeness of the old strip. Once Tin Roof closed down, it was the end of an era.
