If Grier transfers won't that sit him for 18 months including the 6 for the suspension?

Yes.
EDIT: Full year sitting out due to transfer, then 6 game suspension.

Then I don't understand why he's transferring. That'd make it to where middle of junior year before he is able to play I think... ???
