It is my son. His room is a virtual shrine to the Tide! He is trained by the same guys who trained AJ and Coker. As his dad, of course I think he is great. That is why I have QB coaches to tell me if I am nuts or if he is the real deal. They tell me he is. 6'3" (legit) as a freshman and since I am 6'5 and his mom 5'9" he will get taller.

Need to get those squat numbers up and spend a lot of time in the weight room.

He is starting his lifting program after Christmas Break. I don't think he has updated that number since last August, he does more now that I have put a squat rack in his bedroom. I would use the eyeball test on his passing. He completed 70% of his passes this year, a number he was not satisfied with. Since I am 6'5" and 270, I don't think size and strength will be an issue by the time he is a Senior.

I am promoting him all over the SEC. You have a problem with me making sure my son gets exposure?

He is legit and wants to play in the SEC. If he is good enough for Alabama in 3 years they would have the edge. But he is also very smart and will decide which is best for him.

GTFO? What do you mean? lol...

how many college recruiters do you think post on tigerdroppings.com?

If he's good, coaches will find him.

Because you initially tried to project yourself as a fan of different teams on multiple boards.

Instead of being deceitful, you should have just made one thread on the recruiting board.

Yeah, you're better off trying to get him involved in the camp circuit. Not much the average message board fan can do.

I'm sure lower level folks in ADs do read message boards. I'd be worried if they didn't.

But if this guy is going to be a good QB, he WILL get found by "normal" methods. He'll start putting up stats, buzz will spread around the community and eventually the region, coaches will get word and will check him out in person. The kid could go on to be the next joe montana for all we know, but the dad pimping him out on a fairly obscure website 4 years before he graduates isn't really gonna do much.

Work on his release. He pushes the ball too much. Doesn't throw it. It's more like a baseball release right now. It comes straight out from his shoulder almost, he will get a lot of balls batted against better coached D-linemen.

At the point he releases the ball, his arm needs to be straight, from shoulder to wrist with no elbow bend. Needs to let the length of his arm do the work for him, think of it as a fulcrum providing leverage on the ball. The best angle to relieve stress on the shoulder, provide the best release point, and keeps batted balls to minimum, is between 45° and 60°. If you work on this it will improve arm strength, accuracy, and make it easier to place the ball down and away on out routes..

He also needs to get that dip on out when draws back, puts the ball in a bad position. It also elongates his release.

Footwork needs work too. Not as much as the release though. I'm going to look more at it in a bit. Driving at the moment.

He's young, start now.

Repetition.

Repetition.

Repetition.

Hope he improves, and keeps growing. He is a big kid for a freshman though.

If he truly grew up a Bama fan I would for him to play at UA.

Not bad but very young. Before I call the coach I will need some more info on likely development. Can you put together a video of you throwing/running/squatting so we can assess likely genetic maturation?

Thanks.

Actually that is not true. Case in point, Andrew Bunch.

He led his team to the State 5A championship 15-0 ranked 30 in the country. He is the best in the state, they beat the team Duece Wallace QB'd for. Wallace is a vanderbilt commit and is not even close to as good. It was obvious in the championship game won by Bunches team 49-14.

Today, unless you are in Texas, FL or cali you better get noticed or you get left out.

Check out Bunches highlights and you will see my point.
