It's still pouring here in Central Arkansas. So today while I was running on the treadmill at the gym, there Stanford vs. Texas WBB game was on the TV ahead of me. Texas was #5 and Stanford #14.
The score was 27-20 with 6 minutes left...
In the game...
At first I thought there was that little left in the first half. When I realized it was 31-22 with less than 5 minutes to go IN THE GAME I had to watch. Thought, "Maybe they're playing lights out defense..." Nope. They just couldn't hit a shot. When the girls pulled up for 3 from behind the arc, it seemed like they had to throw their entire weight in to the shot to try to get it even close to the rim.

Exactly, it's pathetic. Girls go through the motions of basketball so they can keep their scholarship. I guess it's good that they're getting an education, but let's not pretend like it's compelling television.
And for fricks sake, let's not talk about it like it's interesting. It's a slap fight on hardwood.

That was close to the 1st quarter score. I watched that game because the Hogs play Texas next week. Final was 69-77. You are just making it it.
