An 8-year-old's perspective

My son was born during Saban's first season in Tuscaloosa. All he has known as an Alabama fan is ridiculous success. Some of his thoughts:
1. He thinks Tennessee is just some low level team we play with ugly uniforms. They haven't beaten us during his lifetime, so he doesn't get the rivalry at all.
2. He thinks Ole Miss is the best team we play.
3. He can barely remember Alabama losing to LSU.
4. Since Bama has gone 11-1 for the last five regular seasons, he is used to the idea that you can lose one game and still be in it, but lose two and you are probably out. He does not understand why Auburn was allowed to keep playing this year with all of their losses.

Sounds pretty normal except the Ole Siss part. He will learn as he gets older that Ole Siss sucks like the rest.
