He had lots of options including a fat check from MLB

He CHOSE to come HERE and battle for the job he'd dreamed of his entire life. He is special and the right OC will know how to use his amazing talent.

You assume that Sumchoine will fire Spavitard.

And then we found out he sucks and is at least two years away from being an SEC QB

Oops

Well we just had one if those years

He'll win at least 8 games next year, that's all Allen could deliver.

Allen didn't go 7-5 as a freshman.

He was 3-2.

He didn't go 8-4 as a sophomore either. He went 7-3.

You're not supposed to troll your own team's board.

That's an Arkytard function.

Here is how I see it. I guess it's possible the previous situation at QB could have carried over into next year, but it's not like the uncertainty there this year was ideal, either.

I suspect Murray will get the start for the bowl game. It's up to him to seize the opportunity.

I'm doing nothing of the sort

I just don't see that he end is near when we've got one amazing 5* qb who is itching to play waiting to start

Garrett Gilbert was a 5* quarterback...

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not melting like I thought I would. We always knew one of these guys would transfer. Both are 5 star guys who expected to be the face of the program. When Sumlin decided against redshirting Murray, you know it was just a matter of time. He and Spavital should have really tried their hardest to keep Murray from playing this year.

Having said that, I would have much rather had Murray leave the program than Allen. Not because he is worse or better, but because Murray will always have that MLB window open to him. It would be harder for Allen to leave than Murray since transferring is not a simple process and signing a baseball contract is easy.

It is what it is. Can't say I'm shocked. Sumlin's next move will define his career at A&M. There better be an offensive improvement next year or he will get the axe. We are paying too much money to be in this fiasco.

One thing is for sure, Spavital is not good for our QBs. He needs to go. Ship him off the West Virginia.

It's not the transfer. It's the combination of these things:

1. CURRENT STARTING QB transferring
2. Losing recruiting momentum to Baylor and UH
3. JAKE SPAVITAL HAS NOT BEEN frickING FIRED YET
4. Knowing that our offensive line is unlikely to improve
5. Kevin Sumlin's absolute ARROGANCE

His career at A&M has already been defined. How long we linger is all that is left to be determined.

I'll give you 3 & 5. Spavital should be selling insurance. And Sumlin does carry himself with an arrogant attitude. I would not mind it if he were winning, but he's currently a loser and acts like a winner.

1. The QB position has been fluid all season long. I would call him the starter, but definitely not the solid starter. With how unpredictable Spavital is at pulling players, we never had a starter.

2. I wouldn't buy into recruiting. As we learn every February, commitments are a big 'call me, maybe'.

4. Maybe Christensen is still picking up the pieces from B.J. Anderson's slow deterioration process. A new OC should start the healing process (that is if Sumlin doesn't get stubborn)

We are an OC away from fixing our offense. Look at what a new OC did at TCU.
