No.

The team looks better than last year. But we're gonna lose a pack of games.

Clark has been a complete disappointment so far this year.

VanLeer is a huge liability on the defensive end.

Gant had a good follow up showing.

The Omaha coach did a great job of working the ref.

Rosburg played about 18 too many minutes.

Give me Phillips and Puryear. The rest I can live with or without.

Gant is starting to play better. The other guys are hot and cold.

They are a better team on the offensive end for sure, but they have got to start playing better defense.

Last year the team just flat out sucked. This year they aren't particularly good, BUT you can kind of see that a lot of it is due to youth. A glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel.

Going to get hammered by Arizona likely, but they need to have a good showing against NC St and the Illini.

NC State will hammer us. Big inside team.

We need to win the Illini game.

Clark can't score this year, but he does everything else really well. He gets assists, rebounds, plays good defense. He also ran the point a bunch today when Phillips & TI were turnover machines in the first half.

NC State will not hammer us. We played well tonight if you watched the game. That team played very tough @ CU and Minn. Didn't know before the game, but had a transfer from Wich. ST final four team as well. You guys put labels on some of these teams as though we need to blow everyone out because of the name on a jersey...It's not football. Basketball is about getting better as the yr progresses. Especially with a young team.

Ps. Officiating in College BBALL is about to make me stop watching it.

Yeah, I didn't see the 1st half. I got home and within 2 minutes Clark turned it over. So my take might be a bit skewed by the small sample size.

Clark does need to get his shot figured out. He is only shooting around 25% from the floor, but I like the steadiness he is bringing this year.

This. He brings ball handling, passing, toughness.

Clark and Phillips are both very solid ball handlers. They get in trouble with laziness and things that can be corrected. VanLeer is a sniper, no other way to put it. Matt Lawrence IMO was a much worse defender (he did have some height though) than Cullen. This kid will hit a lot of treys at this school. Kid can stroke it. Kj got to the bucket a few times tonight. We saw our lineup get downsized for the first time tonight and I liked it. Tremaine is good, but don't like his attitude at times. He kind of chooses when to play hard. Also careless with the ball. Phillips is a bit careless, but at least when he makes a mistake he knows it. Young team that I think unlike last years team will get better as the yr goes on....Oh yeah, Puryear can hoop a bit too.

In 2 years this team will be good. Experience is a huge factor in college BBall and Mizzou is the 14th youngest team in the country. But in 2 years you will have seniors in Gant, Wright, & TI with tons of experience. Also juniors in Walton, Puryear, Phillips,& CVL with lots of experience.

Until then it's hard to be a fan of a young inconsistent team.

Illinois is 5-5 with losses to North Florida and Chattanooga. Should be a close game
