I would just like to know if CMR talked to his Former Players about not Coaching his Former Players,as he was so direct and to the point about wanting to do so. If he didn't,then I have lost a lot of respect for the man.I realize he has to look out for himself, and his Family, and maybe this was out of his control, but just a simple,Yes he did talk to the Players,or No he didn't,just something about this doesn't sit too well with me

I don't think he would poach any of our current players and he already said he wouldn't sway recruits that they weren't already after (the way James Franklin did Vandy). Richt isn't that kinda guy.

eta: oh, you're talking about the bowl game. He honored his commitment to Georgia for 15 years. I'm sure he wanted to coach the bowl game but we had already let him go and he got a good job offer. Can't expect him to stick around when he's immediately ready to move on to his next job.

It was pretty widely reported that Richt held a private meeting Thursday night to tell the players he wouldn't be able to coach the bowl game.

The same haters that have wanted Richt fired for years are now upset because he isn't bending over for McGarity to stick it in one more time. If he stayed and we lost the bowl game they would blame it on Richt for deliberately throwing the game.
By the way, when Richt walked into that meeting with the Georgia team they gave him the "U" sign.
