He did? I was under the impression that Alabama overcame a similar penalty in OT and still scored. Seems like LSU just fricking sucks and uses the refs as an excuse.
Of course I'm sure Ritter helped Blake SIms drive all the way down on your weak defense and set Griffith up for a game-tying FG.

Saban Bama v LSU overall: 7-3
With Ritter: 2-2
Saban Bama v Auburn overall: 6-3
With Ritter: 1-2
Be careful what you wish for.

This is the difference between Bama and LSU.
LSU gets called for a horse shite personal foul, and their team, coaches, and fans start trying to play the victim and assume a loss because refs.
Bama gets called for a horse shite personal foul that takes the ball from the LSU 1 yardline out to the 16 yardline THE VERY NEXT POSSESSION, and the Bama team, coaches, and fans start anticipating overcoming that horseshite call to win the game.
Winners vs Victims. It's all a mindset.

Life is a lot simpler and less stressful when you can just turn a blind eye to facts and pretend to be the victim to make up for your failures I suppose. Well played.

OP, I am curious as to where you got these stats, as they are not the run of the mill stats one can just pick up from the internet. A source in the league office? I have a friend who refs in the ACC and he said that all such stats are almost state secrets & never out there for the general public's review.

but it's a fact your RT was tackling Lawson all game. It killed his impact.
Shon Coleman has been tackling DEs for 2 years but I don't see Auburn fans complaining about that.

And before that was Greg Robinson, who the NFL Draft experts made a highlight tape of his "holding plays" to show his biggest weakness and inability to finish a block without tackling a guy.
Surprise surprise, he sucks in the league.
The dude literally got rich from his ability to hold defensive ends and linebackers.

I just think holding is going the way of traveling in the NBA, they are just letting the players do whatever they want.
You can thank coaches like Malzahn and fans all focusing on offense. Offensive penalties get fewer and fewer for the sake of higher scoring games.

The raw numbers aren't hard to find. The old newspaper style box score has the usual stats but also includes things like attendance and the officiating crew. It isn't in the box scores you find on sites like ESPN, but they're still available. Bama's official site has very in depth stats for all the seasons under Saban (don't know how far back they go). Here's the page with links to this year and here is the LSU game for an example of what's available.
Once you've got the raw numbers, the rest is nothing more that a simple Excel spreadsheet. For this analysis, I just created a sheet with year, referee, opponent, result (w/l), points for and against, penalties for and against, and penalty yardage for and against. Throw in some sorting, grouping, a few formulas, a there you have it.
Sounds like a lot but it really wasn't. We're talking about less than 80 games. The whole thing took less than an hour - and that included 15 minutes wasted finding stats for a couple of games that are mislinked on Bama's website.

Lets be honest Corky, you could probably read the words he wrote, but you had difficulty in processing his point. That 'cypherin' and 'gozinta' math just baffles you hillbillies doesn't it?

I assume you're being sarcastic, but just in case Bama during Saban's tenure is 2-2 vs LSU and 1-2 vs Auburn with Ritter as referee.

Yes you did. You have no rebuttal because there isn't one.
