I don't think McGarrity had a choice. If he didn't land Kirby he might have been fired himself. Not convinced Kirby is the answer. McGarrity might get himself fired anyways.

Kind of where I am on this.
I feel like the HC at Georgia has to have at least some experience being the top dog.

i thought this was bad too. then i was reminded of the last time uga settled for a coordinator for their hc. he lasted 15 years won a couple sec championships and put a ton of kids in the league. i think his name was richt
