Live in the county. Much better than Chatham with lower tax rate. School system is among the tops in the state and makes Chatham ones look like the crap it is. Nothing else, though. Very low crime rate. Great place to live.

knew a gal that taught there one year..she lived near Tybee but commuted to Effingham county
