So he was on the right track recruiting for offense? So he didn't wreck it.

Well, he would have been a better LB

UF offensive ranking - total offense
2009 = 3rd
2010 = 77th Adazio was an idiot too on offense
2011 = 98th
2012 = 97th
2013 = 117th - there are 126 teams
2014 = 104th
2015 = 100th

so it was shite before Muschamp arrived and that was after having Meyer recruiting.
Wrecked naw, bruised yah

Gotta say, with his build and athleticism, he would have been a monster LB, He's a great RB, of course, but he could have a much longer NFL career as an LB. Don't know why he didn't go for that except kids his age tend to be more interested in the stats people can get on offense rather than the often overlooked (by casual fans) role of great defensive players. We've gotten better about that, but it'd be nice if more people learned to love D as much as O.

When the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
That was Muschamp's problem.

Wise old saying. Given that Muschamp's problem was offense, not defense, he chose to go for a wrench instead of a hammer to get that nail down.

You assume Muschamp had two tools at his disposal. We all know his brain was the equivalent of one and only one tool. You're giving him too much credit.
Or, to put it how Muschamp would put it: do you even know what a midline is?

You can argue for whatever adjective you would like. It matters not.
The bottom line is he was terrible for UF, was terrible at his job and had/has no idea about how offenses work which is sad for a DC.

Of course I do. It's the line LSU only crossed once in the BCS title game against Bama. Give me a harder one.

That's not exactly what Muschamp had in mind when he challenged a reporter with it during a post-game press conference once. I think it was after the loss to Ga Southern. He was in a chippy mood that day.

He actually was. Glad he's gone. The damage he did will take Mac three years to clean up.
You guys should promote him though when Gus is fired. He'd be great for Auburn.

He wasn't but I understand you wanting him gone. Think he is great for Auburn D and not sure Auburn HC, but you wouldn't be 10-1 and headed to the SECCG if it wasn't for him. That isn't doing bad things to a school.
Unless you hate being Eastern Div champs?

Oh. Well, in seriousness, I didn't know until I just googled, though it seems pretty obvious in retrospect. Bilateral symmetry seems like an odd thing to bring up during a football press conference, but Muschamp was, as you say, a bit chippy and given to occasional odd rants toward the end of his tenure there.

I had no idea. That's mind-boggling. Henry breaks Ken Hall's near 60-yr old record for HS career rushing, and Boom wants him to play LB??? I guess DC is a good spot for him.

Maybe so, but the major problem was trying to turn Brantley into a spread option QB. Another example of Meyer getting a guy based on star rating instead of recruiting to need.
As an aside, the breakdown in Columbus s coming.
