When a college has a quality QB coming in, how far can they go to get him ready for their program, i.e. Providing the playbook, working with their HS Coach to install plays, etc.? I realize there is no sure thing with HS kids, but when your job is on the line wouldn't it be in the yours and the program's best interest?

He's in his own season right now. He gets to Athens in January and will get the playbook then.

I would hope the program goes out of it's way not to frick up the recruitment of a 5 star QB so I would think its a real "hands-off" situation

Not if that HS intends to remain undefeated.
