That still don't support Mizzou and those that are ridiculing the university.
I'm proud to be a Tiger. You all should be ashamed of your fake fandom.

Rambo I 100% agree, you may not like the actions of some on campus on one side or another BUT..to down the whole university and everything you say you support because of this situation is what is wrong with this nation. People are too polarized and quite frankly full of shite.

You should go on a hunger strike until everyone falls back in line.

You know what? You're absolutely right. No one should question the University. The only thing they are guilty of is setting a horrible precedent for future generations. The fact they are willing to completely topple leadership over something that is 100% speculative isn't alarming at all.
Scary point in history we are in. I'm not saying this as 45 year old with a tinfoil hat, but as a 25 year old recent graduate.
I honestly don't understand how someone can support the University's decision? You're either A.) Missing a functional brain, or B.) Don't know your arse from a hole in the ground

The University can't please everybody. It's impossible! And to let something that you don't agree with dictate your love for the University is the troubling part. If you have that much of a problem with it, move along. Root for somebody else. I can't stand self entitled people that want everything to go their way.

Preserved for posterity and irony.
Beautiful.
ETA: also upvoted.

Why, I have stated in other posts I do not think there was institutional racism, that Wolfe needed to go as he was a polarizing figure that did a shitty job of handling the situation. Also said I was not sure what the team or Pinkel did was right or not. What is unreasonable about those statements? Now I also said if you renounced your fandom then get the frick out. I have not lived 47 years of my life with 37 of them being a Mizzou fan to turn tail when things did not go as I liked at the University. Our nation is polarized and it is unraveling the fabric of our nation. I blame many things but media and social network are at the height of my angst over the state of the nation. I am quite frankly afraid that the US is getting ready for the late 60's/early 70's all over. I do not think that is a good place for this nation.

I don't think you are following me. I'm upset with the University, because I love this place. I haven't missed a home football game since I was like 12. Attend like 80% of the home basketball games as well. I truly believe Mizzou is a great University with an atmosphere that is second to none.
With that being said, that's why I'm so disgruntled. This may be a terrible metaphor, but it's kind of like having a parent cheat on the other. Do you still love them? Yes, obviously. Do you think what they did was wrong and not condone their actions? Obviously. Once again, not the best metaphor, but it's the best I could think of on the spot.
We can all agree that we wouldn't be here if we didn't have a passion for the MU and want them to succeed. I just think we took about 1,500 steps backwards with the outcome of recent events.

I've loved everything Mizzou since 1973. The "Bab Years" were darn tough. But this mess has seriously shaken my allegiance to my core.
Here's my own personal question to answer...Do I support a university that is run by liberals and PC police? (Yes, I know libs have always run the school. But they usually kept their mouths shut.)
To me this protest and admin support crosses the line. Their "demands" are laughable and foolish. NO laws, protests, rules, policies or PC police are going to stop racism. Racism is within the heart of a damaged individual. This protest was only about power and control. And that school policy about "hateful words" to be enforced by MUPD...what happened to Freedom of Speech? This is still the USA, last time I heard. I support your right to call me dumb/stupid/fat/skinny/ugly. I won't cry and call the PC police on you. Because I know where those words are coming from.
Remember that it usually all starts at the top. Remember that the BOC members are appointed by DEM Gov. Nixon. The BOC admins this school and hires these weak-arse bozzo's. I don't know the political affiliation of each member. But I bet most are DEM's if I know Gov. Nixon. They all own this mess. The "good Gov" did a great job with Ferguson...HA! And the weak-arse REPUB's politicians that cried "fire Wolfe"...run them out of town on a rail.
As you can tell, this is political to me. I'm a old Kennedy Democrat that realized after my Mizzou days that I was truly a constitutional conservative. You might not like that, but that is who I am.

I'm conservative to my core. I agree with every point you just made.

It may be ironic 808 but why stoop to the level of those that you have a problem with?
Why not be the better man? Is it the Universities fault for this? In a sense yes. Was it way overplayed and this Johnathon Butler guy way over his head? Yes.
Not going to affect me being a Mizzou faithful though.

That is your mistake, some kids got together got a hard on to get Wolfe out and they succeeded. Did I like the way they did that no (frick that Butler guy). Was Wolfe a problem, by the end yes he was, he handled the situation pretty badly especially the phone video of him at night. It was not just the 1950 crowd but faculty and others who wanted him out. Was it liberal, SJW stuff sure..BUT..you do not have to take your lifetime love of the Tigers and throw it out because of a series of events that do not really effect your daily life. You have let the current political climate interfere with your enjoyment of sports and leisure. I am not going to let this ruin my fandom.
