Technically Boone County did do that. More specifically though, Columbia voted that way. Once you left the city limits the map went quite red. There is a huge divide between the University population and the local residents (that don't work for the University).

I've lived in Boone County. I'm aware of the divide. But pretending that Boone County is some outlier of racism in Missouri or the U.S. is nonsense.
