We didn't stack the box. It was base 3-4 for the majority of the game with 7 players in the box. We ran a little 4-3 over mixed in where Devall of Anderson had their hand in the dirt. The base 3-4 looks like a 5-2 to most people because they don't usually see a 3-4. It was 3-4 personell though and there were 7 players in the box all night

Bama was playing a 3-4 base most of the night, but they had safeties helping with the run game almost every play. Bama just did a good job disguising it by not bringing them into the box before the snap.

Y'all can keep saying Bama didn't "stack" the box, and you're technically right, but Bama was committing 8 players to stopping the run for most of the night.

All the proof you need is the number of times a safety was in on a tackle right at the LOS.

Correct, and LSU does very little to disguise a run play with LF. It just made it too easy if everyone did their part. Like in baseball, sit on the fastball and adjust to the curve. We sat on run play all night.
