and why?

I'd love to think it could somehow favor the Black & Gold, but I'm not at all sure.

BTW, I think Mizzou has done a good job against dual threat QBs like Dak this year and going back several (Dobbs).

A slower footing could hinder Prescott's running ability, yes?

Anything that hinders offense, which theoretically rain should do, would help us since our offense is going to be hindered either way.

3-0 baby!

I hope it favors us but I wouldn't bet on it, especially this year. Now if it was raining and cold that might be different, but it's still pretty warm, right?

Rain will effect passing more, IMHO. That favors Dak since we can't run.

Wind is an important factor in the kicking and long pass game. The stadium does not protect field level or act like a tunnel when the wind is out of the north or south. It protects east/west only. I've never seen a tunneling effect at Faurot. The wind really plays with punts...watch the punt returner on both teams. I hope Fatony is practicing low punts into the wind. Baggett should know all about Faurot wind by now.

I'm a long time season tic holder. I sat through the Thursday night 2009 nubber game in the steady rain. I had a full rain suit and was still soaked. I love college football. Let's win this one and shock the SEC.

Ive heard that rain favors a pass oriented offense. Its harder for the defense to cover pass routes. This may be Drew's breakout game since the run games will be stuck in the mud.

Defenses. We have a turf field, so no mud to worry about. Wet balls = more drops and fumbles.

I'm going to say us...because our offense can't get any worse.

If favors mizzou by a mile. Anytime you have someone like Ish in the backfield, you get excited!!!

I'm not very worried about Dak's legs. He isn't a fast guy, but a power runner. Mizzou specializes in swarming the ball. Lots of group tackles.

Now, for our offense, I supposed it gives our WR's an excuse to drop the ball?

With as pitiful as the offense has been, nothing actually favors them at this point.

As for Mississippi St's offense: with as stout as the Mizzou defense is, I don't care if the game was played in sun, wind, rain or snow...it will be an up hill battle for them.
