I'm an Alabama fan and it's not as fun to me as it once was. Going to games in Tuscaloosa has turned into a hassle, ticket prices are outrageous, parking is overpriced, cheesy music on the PA has replaced the band, etc.
I still watch every game, and go to 2-3 a year, but I just don't get the enjoyment out of it like I used to.
I agree. No football game is worth $75 and more. I used to enjoy it back in the 80's when that $75 got you season tickets. I don't really enjoy the spread offenses and lack of defense either. Also, I don't sense as much school pride among players as there once was. Now it is just an NFL minor league.

I have been a college football fan since I was about 10 years old. (That means 60 years) I love the game and get excited for every football Saturday.
I have two favorite teams (Attended both Universities) and never miss a game on TV.
I have a Big Screen and 2 smaller TVs set up, so I watch 3 different games.
To me, with the ability to watch almost any game that I wish, I won't leave the house on Saturday, unless it is for an early breakfast.
I think the problem with so many fans, their enjoyment is totally based on how their team performs.
