So be honest, does anyone think this is Richts last ride?

with all the rumblings and such from the "Big Dogs" and "Power Broakers" and what all is coming from Social Media. Does anyone here actually think CMR may be saying goodbye at the end of this season?

I honestly can't fathom Georgia without Richt. Frankly I have wanted it too long and been disappointed. I can see him losing only 1 more and limping to a weak bowl game and be given yet another chance.
That being said, I think we can all agree it feels different this time. 2010 and early 2011 was a low point that saw a lot ready for his departure but at that point it was still the minority of us who wanted him canned. Now? Now it seems it is the majority of the fan base. Georgia and now national media has gone beyond the usual "Georgia is in a precarious position" to now outright saying that a change should be made or could very well be made.
If they lose Saturday then I think it really may be a certainty, especially if it is as ugly as it has been. But UK is playing pretty bad football. I can see a loss on the plains and GT is going to be tough considering we have no offense. Still, I am waiting to see if Georgia will actually finally call it quits.
I want to say 50/50 but I still think it's more likely he returns.

I've been a Richt supporter for a long time. I had my doubts after UCF, but was back in his corner before the start of the following year.
With that said I think its time for new blood in Athens, I respect CMR as a person, and hope that one day I can be half as good of a person that he is. I just think its in both parties involved best interest to part ways.
To answer you're question though, No. As much as I'd like to think it is, he will find a way to be back next year.

Yes. He's mentally and physically tired. It's to the point where he himself probably wouldn't give a shite if his team won another game.

See, I'll shite on Richt all day but you know he wants to win. For his job but also because, dude, he does love Georgia. He does want us to be the best we can be.

I hope it's a mutual parting, but with the money tied up in Richt's contract and he length left, we may have to fire him.
If he finishes 2-2, especially if the two losses are GT and AU, I think he could very well be done. Whether or not it's on his terms I guess we will see. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back either, even in that scenario.
1-3 and 0-4, Richt is gone. I will honestly be a little excited if he is gone, but I don't know if we will make the right hire.

I don't think they fire him but allow him to resign in grace with a sizable settlement check. I think he'd prefer that. It would basically be firing because I doubt he does this on his own but Georgia would at least allow it to be officially a resignation.
They'd only fire him if he really fought it which I guess is possible.

The way Richt described the UF game as being just "another game" leads ne to believe he is emotionally checked out. He's in his own world and that shite isn't gonna end well for him unfortunately.

Id much rather him retire because he is a DGD and I don't want to see him go out in a bad way. He's dedicated a lot of his life to making UGA a good football team and I respect him as a man. That said, it's past due for a change and I think it's in everyone's best interest to move on. He might very well succeed at another school, and I hope he does, but I feel like his best days at uga are behind him.

Yes. It's over.

I think the team plays loose from here on out with nothing to play for and wins out in ugly fashion and he is here next year, next year he wil go 7-5 and retire.

I don't disagree, I just think they give him that buyout with "resigning"
Posted on 11/2/15 at 10:11 pm to Damn Good Dawg
Wtf are you all talking about his buyout is less than a mil. There was no buyout extension
Posted on 11/2/15 at 10:22 pm to Chef Leppard
Damn you're right. Could definitely see us parting ways if things go south then.

Not unless they go 0-4 the rest of the way. Unless the team gives up on him, which I seriously doubt is going to happen, they'll likely go at least 2-2 in the remaining 4. Richt finishes this year at 7-5. He's back next year, with or without Shotty. (Hopefully without).
But I think this will allow a more planned and gentle parting for everyone. Even with Eason, and likely doing no worse next year than this year, I think Richt is likely to be gone after next season.
Unless of course Eason is the greatest true freshman QB to ever play the game and pulls out some huge wins with new tackles protecting him and a mostly young receiving corps.

After the disaster this weekend, I was thinking no way they keep him.
After the emotions have subsided somewhat, I think they do. He'll go 2 - 2 ROY. If he goes 1 - 3...............?
But I think the end game will be he stays, recruiting class, Eason, all of that shite.
I don't like it, but the more I think about the admins I don't think they have the balls to make a move unless their dicks are in a real wringer and they are not yet, plenty of excuses which is what this program is about unfortunately.
If I were McGarity I would already have Fuente in my pocket.
