I know that Bauta should not be in a position to start at QB for UGA,,,,

Based on what? YEah he's not as talented as Murray and Stafford, but I hate to break it to you, sometimes our QBs arent going to be super elite. Bauta played fine today. It wasn't his fault we lost, and I think Richt made the right call to start him. He gave us the best chance to win today. Unfortunately, his recievers and o-line let him down.

No one on the roster is fit for it.

Bauta, in my opinion, is the best we've got.

That may be true, but it seems like an unfair way to evaluate him by not letting him practice with the first team or play for the entire season...and then install him as the starter during the bye week before the Florida game!

Clearly the staff had concluded that Lambert was simply not going to get any better than he was...which was very mediocre and unable to step up in big games. But throwing Bauta in now seemed desperate...

I really don't know who the quarterback should be at this point, though. I would say Bauta IF they planned to actually run a read option or use his legs more. But they seem to want to more or less run the same offense. And Bauta is no Dobbs anyway.
