What do away team folks think about the atmosphere in the stadium?
What should be improved to the stadium?
Tired of the sense of entitlement with folks just sitting and not yelling for the team.
Don't like the elephant trumpet and get tired of hearing Scott Cochran yelling.
The MDB needs some serious work and there should be a DJ at the stadium like at Coleman

I agree with that. You paid around the same for tickets like them so you can do what you want within reason

Cochran promoting H1N1 vaccines and that elephant need to go. However, UT and 3rd down for what is hands down the worst thing around in collegiate sports.

That and hearing Scott Cochran

It looks good on TV and I have heard from former players it is the wildest place to play. Other than that it is overlooked it seems compared to some other stadiums

Was there for a game in mid 2000s. Outside of the stadium is meh but inside was very nice. One thing i noticed was how clean everything was. Almost like they pressure washed it right before the game. Noise level was loud but nothing crazy. Only negative was We were in an rv lot that was filled with all bama fans and there was a live band that Friday night. The band was playing some great dancing music but no one was dancing. We were just tying to have a good time and asked some older ladies (majority was your older baptist folk who were just sitting and listening and were obviously married) just to dance and pass a good time. Well that was a huge mistake bc the husbands got soooooo pissed at us and threatened to kick our arse. We just laughed it off and went back to the bus.

All of this. I would add one more very important one though. Cut out 90% of all the rap music between every down and put a strong mI crop hone on the MDB and run that through the speakers. Heck, play recorded clips of the MDB so that there are no concerns about piping in crowd noise. The last defensive series Saturday was awesome. The crowd was loud as frick with little music being blared on the loud speakers.
Our gameday stadium experience has been so NFLed up that it's so much worse than it used to be. Replace Scott Cochran and all the rap music with taped versions of the MDB played over the loud speakers.

I think it's the first they've done it. Surely nobody finds it cool

aesthetically, it is a nice building and wonderful to look at. the atmosphere is lacking though. the ginger cueing people to yell takes away from it, as well as the elephants trumpeting and the tolling bells.
In years past, I felt like there was more crowd participation led by the cheerleaders. one side of the stadium saying "ALA," the other side saying "BAMA." along with the long roll tide cheers, or maybe it was followed up with that. as well as things to keep people engaged during breaks in the action. there are a lot of video board surveys for people to vote with their phones, which I feel like encourages people to be distracted by their devices and be less active participants.

Yup, there are some fair weather fans, who just go to see the games and not have any fun.
If the stadium can't be expanded anymore then upgrade the video boards and ribbons

I think the stadium is laid out well, although walking around in a circle for 20 minutes to get to the visitor seats is tough on old people.
Stadium is not as loud as The Swamp. Too much canned in noise or music, but not as bad as Auburn. While not a big fan of standing and yelling, I think the shakers in unison are pretty cool. I even find the Rammer Jammer cheer to be pretty cool as it follows a tradition.
Your strength coach screaming on the large screens is a joke and my opinion is that it makes the Alabama program look bad.
I have not missed a Alabama-LSU game in Alabama or Baton Rouge since the later 60's. I enjoy going to BDS and have never had any issues with fans. Sometimes the students act up walking in/out stadium, but no big deal. I have been told or called worse by better.
I use to enjoy going to Tuscaloosa much more when I could park the RV next to the basketball coliseum.

I was there as recently as last year for the MSU game and overall I thought the atmosphere was very good. I was on row 13 in the lower bowl and the crowd was definitely a factor early on, and I give the crowd factor some of the credit for the issues we had in the first quarter.

The elephant trumpet is not that big of a deal, but good grief that Cochran guy yelling is the worst thing I've ever seen used in a stadium to try to pump up the crowd. Bama should fire the person who came up with that idea.
Edit: I forgot to add until I read another post, would be nice if they could do something about the big screens. They were very hard to see and for whatever reason it didn't seem like they showed very many replays.

The stadium is super nice. I was mostly suprised that music other than Lynard Skynyrd came on.

The stadium has turned too much towards a NFL type one.
