Alabama's Secondary Sucks - PFF

Cornerbacks: Marlon Humphrey, Alabama (+11.3), Jalen Tabor, Florida (+6.3) and Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama (+3.9)
Almost a clean sweep for Alabama but the four touchdowns Cyrus Jones has allowed sees Tabor leap him. Credit to Tabor, with Vernon Hargreaves hurt he’s stepped up impressively. Fitzpatrick gets the nod as the top slot corner in the conference.

I first saw it from Mag on the Bama board.
Bama's secondary is still a weakness.

I won't fully trust the secondary until they shut down a team like Baylor in the CFB playoffs. But yes, the secondary has been a pleasant surprise this season.

Well of course your PFF will be out the roof when you have 3TD on defense.
But hey, lets be honest here, Alabama's DB's that returned those interceptions deserve credit for getting themselves in the endzone.
Now as far as the interceptions go... They were horribly thrown passes right to the defender.

They looked like shite versus Ole Miss but much better versus A&M. They caught those Int, and make good plays. I really thought they would get toasted. so here is to your secondary

I won't argue one way or the other, but I will say it seems like most INTs in CFB are just tipped balls or horrible thrown passes.

Although yall's front 7 had Kyle Allen feeling like he was in that 1408 movie with John Cusack.

They had 1 bad fluke play(still their fault), one play that they thought was a run play until the QB threw it(still their fault), and then a play on Cyrus Jones, which was the only big play I can remember him giving up this year, against one of the best WRs in the SEC.
They weren't that bad against OM. Obviously not their best game, but its not like they got toasted all game.

They don't get the sacks but A'Shawn Robinson and Jarran Reed's ability to push the pocket when they're rushing is probably my favorite part about the front 7.

Let's see how they do against the top PFF QB

You can't be realistic with Bama fans. When their team loses, it's because their players played bad. When they beat another team, it's because bama was absolutely dominant and caused all the issues. Anyone watching that game saw that Kyle Allen completely choked. He threw some horrible balls almost right to Alabama defenders, sometimes several feet away from a rec. Again though....it's not that Allen sucked...it's more to do with that all of the sudden, Alabama has a GREAT secondary. Complete knee-jerk. Just like everyone claiming Ole Miss was great after beating bama...now, if they lose to A&M, they might not even make a bowl game.

Point out where I am wrong? I'd like to hear this.
I've had season tickets for over 25 years at LSU...I know when they are good, and when they are overrated. This offense is quickly turning into one of the best in the country, and is very explosive and extremely dangerous. Something LSU hasn't had for a long time....in those regards.
You act like you have the Pittsburg Steeler steel curtain from the 70's. LSU has a LOT of future NFL draft picks on defense as well, at least 9 or 10 that will play. LSU has a very clear advantage on offense. Alabama has a slight edge on LSU in defense, giving you the benefit of the doubt...but Mills should be 100% for the game. Special teams bama obviously has the advantage and this may prove to be the difference. But you go ahead and continue to downplay the LSU offense, because they are playing Alabama's defense. Hell, last year LSU got what 300-400 yards of offense, and they had NO passing game to speak of, and LF wasn't near the rb he is now, nor was the OL close to what it is now. Alabama may win, but they will have to outscore LSU....LSU will score 20+......bookmark it.
