Don't want Strong
We won't get Patterson or Kelly
Shane Beamer or Chad Morris on my short list.

I'd be excited with Beamer, Herman, or Hudspeth.
I like Fuente, but not sure about his offensive style (as in, I don't know anything about it).
I don't want a "name" from somewhere else. I want our version of Hugh Freeze.

I'll add Kirby Smart, Will Muschamp and Gene Chizick to the Do Not Want list.
Herman, Hudspeth and Fuente are names I keep seeing but have never heard before the season.

Level 1. Chip Kelly, Saben, Urban Meyer, Bill Bellicheck, Gary Patterson, Mark Dantonio
Level 2. Herman, Kirby Smart, Mark Stoops, Dave Doeren, Doc Holliday (keeps rising his stock,)
Level 3. Fuente, Chad Morris, Fedora (if he can bring Chizkik too), Mark Hudspeth, Pruitt (he would help with recruiting a lot with his networks and...abilities.)
Level LOL. Strong, Butch Davis, Bubba, James Franklin, Al Golden, Lame Kitten,

If Fedora wanted to come with Chizick, and we had missed on some of our higher choices, I think that could work.

Yep. I actually sent an email asking why I was banned because I wasn't trolling and just wanted to see the thread with more participation.
I don't expect a reply so I'm probably gonna porn nuke that board from every IP address I've got access to.

I mean we beat them.
And as UT has shown its not a very good idea to replace your head coach with one of the few head coaches he was able to beat

Chiz is a great DC, he's also not above using the bagman network to get recruiting done. Fedora's offense works and generates a lot of points. If we could put their coaching abilities together, with our resources, facilities, etc... we could have a competitive program. They aren't my first choice, but it could work.

That's the Butch Jones option, when we publicly whiff on our top three or four candidates, and someone has to take the job.
Holiday is intriguing, but he is older than I'd like.
I just hope Tanner gets proactive and has his short list ready. Not going to lie, I wish we had Hyman quarterbacking this decision.

All I will say is that if the Eagles finish with less than 6 wins, I think they will can Kelly. They have more money than ever and he has been handed the keys to the kingdom. The Eagle faithful are already starting to think he may not be the right fit (this was all before they routed an overrated Jets team.)
We have to be diligent in that regard. If we maintain contact throughout the season and we're the first job he is offered, he might come. It's a long shot, but we have nothing to lose.
That said, the Eagles are a 9 win team to me, so this is all moot.

58, so he could have a 7-8 year run before the "he's about to retire crowd' gets vocal.
Some key things about his resume, besides being 26-6 the past 3 years, are:
2000–2004 NC State (AHC/WR)
2005–2007 Florida (AHC/S/RC)
2008–2009 West Virginia (AHC/TE/FB/RC)
At NCState, he was the one who discovered and recruited Philip Rivers, he also didn't have a losing season there and built them into a respectable program under Amato. They were recruiting well those years.
2005-2007 at UF as the Recruiting Coordinator...they won the BCS in '06 and '08 with the guys he was helping Meyer bring in.
As the AHC and RC for 2 years at WVU, he went 9-4 both years AND helped build the team that destroyed clemson with 70 points in the Orange bowl the year after he left.
He's a VERY good evaluator of talent.

Kirby Smart looks like Muschamp 2.0 to me

How so? Besides potentially moving from DC to HC.
He's been a monster recruiter his whole career. His defenses have ranked in the Top25 and really Top10 for the past 7 years. He's relatively young. Son of a GA HS HC and he's probably one of the top CFB defensive minds out there. To prepare for the game today, he watched every one of Shottenheimer's games from the previous 2 years, and then he laid waste to uga's offense. This guy seems like a hungry, young winner to me.

His defenses or nick saban's defenses?

Ding ding. The genius at Alabama is Saban. Just like the genius at NE is Belichick. The coordinators and assistants are interchangeable both places, and haven't done a whole lot when given head jobs.
Rumor was Smart was at the top of Tanner's list. If this is true, I'd be cautiously optimistic, but I can't help but think it has Brad Scott scribbled all over it.
If we're deadset on going the coordinator route, I'd be happier with Beamer. His success here is highly encouraging, and I think he could put together a top flight staff.

Beamer or Morris ftw
